Our leading energy client is looking for a Data Processor - Hydro/Vector Geospatial Analyst to join their team! This is a hybrid role in Mississauga.
This will be a temp to hire role - 6 month contract to start to full time permanent.
The Hydro/Vector Geospatial Analyst is responsible for generating, editing, and enhancing GIS data derived from various geospatial sources. This role supports the production of high-quality vector data products that meet both internal and external client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Production & Editing
Extract hydro breaklines from LiDAR using TerraSolid modules in MicroStation, LP360, or ArcGIS.
Generate contours and compile planimetric and DTM features from digital stereo imagery.
Execute vector production procedures in alignment with project specifications.
Perform manual editing and produce derived geospatial products.
2. Quality & Delivery Excellence
Ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks.
Monitor project timelines, productivity metrics, and data quality standards.
Identify, report, and resolve production issues to keep projects on track.
3. Communication & Collaboration
Provide project updates to supervisors and flag issues that may impact product quality.
Serve as a technical resource and support training efforts within the production team.
Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and clients when required.
4. Innovation & Improvement
Analyze processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Recommend improvements and contribute to software tool development.
Apply new methods and tools to production processes, measuring their effectiveness.
5. Compliance & Standards
Qualifications & Experience
Experience:
0–3 years of experience in geospatial production
Familiarity with lidar, contours, planimetric data, elevation-derived hydro, and standard GIS data formats
Technical Skills:
Possess working knowledge of ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, and QC software packages: MicroStation, TerraSolid, LP360, Global Mapper, AutoCAD, FME, Arc Data Reviewer, topology, etc.
Strong understanding of photogrammetry, data quality standards, and geospatial production tools
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
