We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced LiDAR Production Analyst to join our Terrain Data team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing LiDAR data, performing quality control, developing macros, and generating derived terrain products in line with project specifications. You will also provide technical guidance, contribute to continuous process improvement, and support production team members.
Key Responsibilities
Process LiDAR datasets using tools like TerraScan, MicroStation, LP360, and Global Mapper.
Conduct quality control (QC) and independent review of LiDAR products to ensure accuracy and client satisfaction.
Develop and maintain processing macros and workflows to improve efficiency.
Assist with scheduling and production tracking in collaboration with team leads.
Provide technical support and training to internal teams and occasionally to clients.
Participate in innovation efforts to improve production quality and delivery timelines.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and QHSSE policies.
Required Skills & Tools
Proficiency in LiDAR processing software, including:
MicroStation, TerraSolid, TerraScan
LP360, GeoCue, Global Mapper
ArcGIS, LASTools
Experience with MS Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Solid understanding of LiDAR technology, data quality metrics, and industry standards (e.g., ASPRS).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Geospatial Sciences, Remote Sensing, GIS, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3–8 years of hands-on LiDAR production experience.
ASPRS certification (preferred, not mandatory).
Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
