Agilus is recruiting for a Commercial Manager - Construction in the Construction Industry in Burlington, Ontario. This role is critical in overseeing the financial and contractual aspects of major construction projects, ensuring compliance, profitability, and risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle. A typical day: Lead all commercial and contractual aspects of assigned construction projects. Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures. Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and change orders. Monitor project performance and provide regular financial reporting to senior management. Identify and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities. Collaborate with project managers, estimators, legal, and procurement teams. Ensure compliance with company policies, legal standards, and client requirements. Support claims management and dispute resolution processes. Successful candidates will have: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Finance, or related field. Minimum 7 years of experience in commercial management within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., CCDC, FIDIC, or similar). Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Proficiency in project management and financial software tools. Experience in industrial or infrastructure projects is an asset.
