Agilus is recruiting for a Site Superintendent in the construction industry in Calgary, Alberta. The Superintendent will be responsible for coordination, administration, and site supervision for Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional construction projects. A typical day: Work with the Project Manager, develop and maintain master project schedule Develop Health, Safety and Environment Plan. Review contracts with the Project Manager to ensure scope of work and schedules are accurate and feasible. Notify Equipment Management Team of requirements for project. Assist with selection of trade subcontractors Conduct constructability reviews to bring value to the construction execution stage. Plan, organize, direct and control daily construction operations with direct leadership responsibilities for junior resources as assigned. Successful candidates will have: Degree or Diploma in construction management, engineering, or another relevant field Strong familiarity with contract administration, understanding drawings, specifications, architectural and engineering standards and building practices, including building codes 10 + years’ experience in the construction industry, with a focus on civil infrastructure projects Excellent budgeting, costing and scheduling skills Strong leadership skills with experience managing all disciplines, internal employees and external sub-trades Works within tight deadlines and prioritizes of work to achieve them Strong interpersonal and communication skills Total rewards: Competitive Salary Work with a leader in Canadian construction
