Agilus is recruiting for a Rotating Equipment specialist in the oil & gas industry in St. John's, Newfoundland.
Responsibilities:
Drives reliability results by predicting equipment care needs, repair schedules, and Turnaround scope
Works with CFT to mitigate, problem-solve, and plan for interim fixes for alternative solutions according to business needs.
Provides technical resources to the operating facility and provides both strategic and tactical advice on rotating equipment reliability.
Recommending and advocating solutions to chronic rotating equipment problems and continuously improving the rotating equipment PM/PD program.
Champion the implementation of reliability best practices and will evaluate new technology and new ideas to improve reliability.
Work in collaboration with the reliability, maintenance and operations teams to identify fixed equipment reliability improvement opportunities
Provides support for Operations and Maintenance groups by predicting the scope of equipment problems and the most efficient path forward to increase long-term reliability
Collects and charts historical data on equipment reliability and sends notifications to initiate the repair process
Requirements:
Red Seal certified Millwright, Mechanical Technologist or Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in an industrial environment, preferably in an offshore oil and gas environment
Experienced with turbines, compressors, pump systems, and other industrial/rotating equipment - especially in industrial or power applications
Other recognized certifications in condition monitoring techniques, such as Machinery Lubrication Analyst, Infrared Analysis, and/or Ultrasonic. Knowledge of “Motion amplification” would be an asset
Knowledgeable in industry codes and practices such as API and ANSI
Expert in laser alignment techniques including train alignments with thermal growth
User experience with SAP is a benefit
Working knowledge of regulatory and industry codes applicable to the mechanical and marine discipline – Focused on rotating equipment
Demonstrates technical knowledge around maintenance and repair for all types of rotating equipment (Compressors, pumps, gearboxes, turbines etc.)
