We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Operations Agent to join our government client for a 1-year, full-time contract position. This role is fully onsite in Mississauga and involves working in a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate high-speed processing equipment to sort, reconcile, and securely destroy physical currency
• Accurately input data into multiple operational systems and maintain up-to-date records
• Prepare shipments and manage the receiving and dispatching of sensitive financial assets
• Maintain a high level of asset security and ensure compliance with internal procedures
• Conduct inspection of incoming and outgoing materials and resolve day-to-day operational issues
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to support operational efficiency
• Assist in the secure handling and dual control of currency-related materials
• Carry out other related duties as needed in support of the team

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent, with strong math skills
• At least 2 years Experience in one or more of the following: cash handling, banking, retail, or shipping/receiving
• Demonstrated ability to follow strict control procedures with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective verbal communication skills and a collaborative team mindset
• Ability to manage changing priorities and adapt to varying daily tasks
• Willingness to perform rotating tasks, adjust to changing schedules, and work overtime as required
• Proactive and initiative-driven approach to work and process improvement
• Physically capable of standing for long periods and handling packages between 5 to 24 kg

Additional Assets:

• Familiarity with ISO standards or compliance practices
• Experience in banknote handling or processing
• Working knowledge of high-speed currency processing systems

Security Requirements:

• Must be eligible for Reliability Clearance
• Must successfully complete a credit check
