Our leading retail client is looking for an Onsite eCommerce Marketplace Operations Specialist to join their team. The Marketplace Operations Specialist will manage relationships with third-party sellers on a growing eCommerce platform. In this role, you will drive performance by monitoring seller metrics, resolving operational challenges, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver a best-in-class customer experience.
This will be a 5 month contract + extension and fully on site at the Mississauga office.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strong relationships with Marketplace sellers, acting as a trusted operations partner.
Monitor and manage seller performance against key KPIs to ensure high service standards.
Coordinate and conduct regular seller performance reviews.
Act as a primary escalation point for customer issues related to seller orders, leveraging relationships to drive quick resolutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including customer service and technology, to identify and resolve operational barriers impacting order fulfillment.
Serve as a subject matter expert for Marketplace operations in broader eCommerce initiatives.
Communicate project plans and requirements to sellers, and support their successful adoption of new tools or processes.
Help design and improve future Marketplace operations and fulfillment workflows.
Partner with store teams to address and resolve issues related to site-to-store shipments and delivery experience.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required.
1–3 years of experience in vendor management, seller performance, or account operations.
Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively with external partners.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Background in retail operations, supply chain, eCommerce, or a related field is strongly preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make actionable recommendations.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience managing seller/vendor relationships on a digital marketplace.
A customer-first mindset, with a passion for improving online shopping experiences.
Familiarity with managing inventory, fulfillment performance, and operational KPIs.
Ability to work onsite and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
