Agilus is recruiting for a Accounting Analyst in the Oil and Gas Industry in Toronto, Ontario. A typical day: Complete monthly account reconciliations and conduct detailed balance sheet analysis Compile and submit quarterly RRR (Reporting and Record Retention) schedules. Support the maintenance, documentation, and updates of internal control policies and procedures within the Finance Department Ensure compliance with Gas Cost-related SOX key and non-key controls Collaborate with internal, external, and SOX auditors during periodic reviews and quarterly/annual audits Provide regulatory support for proceedings including preparing evidence, drafting responses to interrogatories, supporting deferral account dispositions, and handling ad-hoc regulatory inquiries The successful candidate brings: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. Minimum of 4 years of experience in technical accounting and financial analysis Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Comfortable working under pressure and available to work overtime during peak reporting periods Collaborative team player with a results-driven mindset and strong attention to detail.
