Agilus is recruiting for a Practice Manager Legal Assistant in the Legal industry in a hybrid work environment in Victoria, British Columbia.
Are you a detail-driven legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment? As a Practice Manager, you’ll be a key player in legal operations, client care, and strategic initiatives. You’ll work closely with lawyers, attend client meetings, and help drive business success from the inside out. This is more than a legal assistant role — it’s a seat at the table.
A typical day:
Draft and format legal documents and agreements using precedents
Support reorganizations, mergers, acquisitions, and closing processes
Conduct due diligence searches and prepare closing books
Maintain virtual minute books (e.g., ALF) and corporate records
Track deliverables, manage workflows, and coordinate next steps
Attend client meetings and manage intake and communications
Handle scheduling, logistics, and general administrative support
Assist with marketing, tech integration, and process improvements
Successful candidates will have:
Legal administrative assistant diploma or equivalent experience
3+ years in corporate/commercial law; M&A experience is an asset
Strong communication and organizational skills
Detail-oriented with excellent proofreading and formatting abilities
Tech-savvy and eager to learn new tools
Proactive, accountable, and solutions-focused
Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Interest in continuous improvement and strategic planning
