Short-Term Medical Secretary – Rheumatology
Location: Toronto, ON.
Dates: August 6 – August 19
Schedule:
- Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri: 8:30am–4:30pm
- Wed: 9:30am–5:30pm
Overview:
Sinai Health is seeking a Medical Secretary to provide short-term administrative support in the Rheumatology department. This role involves front desk duties, appointment scheduling, patient communication, and chart management. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and experienced in a healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients and visitors
- Schedule appointments and procedures
- Manage patient charts and documentation
- Register visits using Cerner
- Communicate with referring physicians and handle correspondence
- Collaborate with other admin staff and maintain a clinical calendar
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary diploma or degree (required)
- Minimum 1 year of medical administrative experience
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Familiarity with Accuro and Cerner (preferred)
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
Additional Requirements:
- Willing to provide proof of immunizations and complete a TB test (at own cost)
