What you will be doing:

Tangerine has embarked on the journey to modernize development practices, tools, and runtime environments. One of the main areas of transformation is the adoption of public Cloud and the various platform technologies that support both development and operations on the cloud. 
The Cloud Engineer will be part of the “Cloud Platform Engineering” team that is responsible for the Cloud adoption strategy and developing platform components/services for the broad enterprise use.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

• Jointly work together with the platform & architecture teams to 
  • Develop, document, and maintain cloud platform, cloud services and components to enable enterprise-wide use.
  • Design and build highly available and scalable infrastructure
  • Present and communicate patterns, vision and roadmap to other stakeholders.
  • Develop of software/pipelines for enabling and automating provisioning, maintenance and deployment for cloud platform and related components. (Infrastructure as Code - Terraform)
  • Enable controls and practices to enforce that applications will meet non-functional requirements (availability, integrity, reliability, disaster recovery etc.). 
• Explore new Cloud technologies and services
• Support teams for GCP design patterns, best practices, and security considerations. Assist teams to develop/onboard their solutions on Google Cloud Platform, help for breaking-down, scoping, and estimation of tasks. 
• Collaborate with cross functional teams for monitoring and optimizing cloud infrastructure and performance.

    • Cloud Logging & Monitoring

    • GCE
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Good to have skills in;
  • Security Command Center
  • BigQuery, Looker Studio
  • CloudSQL
  • Cloud Run, Cloud Run Functions, Pub/Sub
  • Microservices architecture
