Job Title: Fraud Risk Consultant

With hundreds of thousands of users and partnerships with top-tier brands, they are now seeking a Fraud Risk Consultant to lead fraud prevention initiatives through advanced data modelling and risk strategy.
This is a high-impact role ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in fraud analytics, data science, and model development, particularly those looking to make a tangible difference in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze transactional data to identify fraud patterns, anomalies, and abuse vectors, such as account takeovers, payment fraud, and scalping activity.
Build and maintain rule-based systems and statistical models to detect and mitigate fraud in real time.
Design and test fraud detection logic incorporating behavioural, transactional, and technical indicators (e.g., IP, device ID, BIN, velocity).
Collaborate with engineering, product, and compliance teams to implement fraud controls and improve operational workflows.
Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and documentation to monitor fraud KPIs and model performance.
Stay informed on emerging fraud tactics, tools, and trends within the fintech and digital payments landscape.
Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of experience in fraud risk analysis or data science within fintech, e-commerce, or financial services. (Senior consultant level applicants welcome).
Proficiency in SQL and Python, with demonstrated experience building fraud models or scoring systems.
Strong understanding of fraud signals and risk indicators, including device data, IP address, user behaviour, and transaction velocity.
Experience with statistical modeling or machine learning techniques (e.g., logistic regression, decision trees, XGBoost) is a strong asset.
Proven ability to work with large datasets and translate insights into actionable risk mitigation strategies.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across both technical and non-technical teams.
A self-starter with a data-driven mindset and a proactive approach to solving complex problems.
