Purpose

 

Contributes to the overall success of Canadian Wealth Management Investment Advisory by supporting the management team in ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered.  Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
In this role you will: 

 

  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Support the Executive Vice President, Canadian Wealth Management Investment Advisory, in the day-to-day management of schedules by:
    • Establishing and coordinating calendars
    • Arranging /scheduling appointments
    • Anticipating scheduling conflicts / problems and providing alternatives
  •  Coordinate and schedule meetings by:
    • Assessing and seeking out the most appropriate venue for meetings
    • Arranging bookings for boardrooms / conference rooms
    • Arranging for equipment and materials for meetings as required
    • Booking travel arrangements as needed
  • Provide high level administrative support to a group of Canadian Wealth Management executives, requiring discretion, confidentiality, a good understanding of technical and business vocabulary, and a detailed knowledge of the organization's operations, procedures, and people.
  • Gather, compile, verify, and analyze information for the executives’ use in documents such as memos, letters, reports, speeches, presentations, and news releases.  Perform tasks using independent judgment and discretion; e.g , preparing documents and presentation materials; screening and responding to incoming correspondence, inquiries, and phone calls; drafting letters and official information releases; arranging and attending meetings; taking and distributing minutes.
  • Monitor, review, and approve standard expenditures to ensure the activities of the office are conducted within established budgets.  Manage the variance analysis and ensure it aligns on a monthly basis.  Act as the primarily liaison and coordinator for department initiatives.
  • Be an approachable presence in the department, assisting department members as needed, contributing to the overall success of the department

 

DO YOU HAVE THE SKILLS
We’d love to work with you if you have:

  • Sound knowledge of business/bank terminology and departmental procedures
  • High level of discretion required when dealing with confidential matters
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, works well in a team environment
  • Strong time management and organization skills
