The Field Marketing Manager is responsible of building and leading the implementation of a comprehensive event strategy, in support of the overall Quebec marketing strategy led by the Director, Marketing Planning and Regional Growth Initiatives (Quebec), to increase brand awareness and drive lead generation in the Quebec market. This position is responsible for overseeing external event hosting strategies, activating local corporate sponsorships, evaluating partnerships and sponsorships, and managing the end-to-end organization of events for Scotiabank in Quebec. In addition, this position will work closely with various stakeholders to support efforts to identify cross-sell opportunities and drive client primacy in priority markets and segments.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Develop and oversee the execution of annual external event strategy to enhance Scotiabank's presence in the Quebec market, across all business lines.
  • In co-ordination with business lines and Lighthouse Events (as needed), plan, coordinate, and execute flagship events, ensuring seamless organization and delivery.
  • Maintain centralized events calendar and ensure that activities are well tracked, communicated, and activated.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all Grow Quebec-focused events and sponsorship activities.
  • Support local activation of key corporate and regional sponsorships in Quebec
  • Work closely with Sponsorship team, Marketing Director and GrowQC Program Director to maximize the impact of sponsorships and ensure alignment with Scotiabank’s brands and objectives.
  • Provide recommendations and support evaluation of existing and potential partnerships and sponsorship opportunities to ensure they align with Scotiabank’s strategic goals and ambitions in the Quebec market.
  • Lead event briefing and debriefing sessions, as well as conduct surveys and identify best practices for continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of events to continuously optimize event strategies and sponsorship activations to drive tangible client acquisition leads.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in event management, sponsorship activation, and partnership evaluation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential, in French and English.
  • Good knowledge of project management, marketing research, and data & analytics notions.
  • Knowledge and experience in the Arts, Music & Culture industry and the Quebec philanthropy scene is desirable.
  • Good stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge of Banking / Wealth Management products and services is desirable.
  • Good mastery in Microsoft 365 suite particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge and experience with Adobe Workfront or other work management solutions is considered an asset. 


*This role involves frequent travel throughout the province of Quebec, based on operational needs.

 Please note that this role is based in our Downtown Montreal office.
