We are seeking a highly experienced Contract Specialist with over 5 years of expertise in interpreting and managing complex agreements, and 10+ years of overall experience in Supply Chain Management. Agilus is recruiting for a Contracts Specialist in the energy sector in a hybrid work environment in Calgary, Alberta. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and supporting strategic sourcing initiatives. A typical day: Interpret and manage complex contractual agreements, including those related to Wind and Solar energy projects Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide contract guidance, raise concerns tactfully, and recommend strategic solutions. Maintain and strengthen relationships with key supplier partners, particularly those with significant spend and operational impact. Collaborate with legal, procurement, and business units to manage contract risks and resolve disputes. Take ownership of contract processes, follow through on deliverables, and maintain a sense of urgency in all tasks. Provide excellent customer service and communication, both written and verbal, to internal and external stakeholders. Successful candidates will have: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, or related field. 5+ years of experience as a Contract Specialist working with complex agreements. 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management or Procurement Strong understanding of contract law, risk management, and negotiation strategies Excellent analytical, and organizational skills Proficiency in contract management systems and Microsoft Office Suite Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast paced environment Total rewards: 1- year contract Star date: ASAP Pay Rate: $70-$80 hourly as an incorporated (depending on experience) Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week Hybrid work style (3 days in office) Excellent opportunity for you to shine and leverage your skills Let's connect!
