Job Title: Information Security Developer
Location: Toronto, Canada (Hybrid – 3 days onsite/week)
Pay Rate: $54–$68/hour CAD
Duration: 6 months (possible extension)
Interviews: 2 virtual interview rounds
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Information Security Developer to support security architecture, threat modeling, and secure application design across web, API, mobile, and AI/ML platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong full-stack development background and a deep understanding of modern security frameworks and protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform threat modeling, risk assessment, and secure application design.
- Implement application security controls across Web, API, Mobile, and AI systems.
- Collaborate with development teams on secure software architecture.
- Ensure compliance with security frameworks including OWASP, NIST, and ASVS.
- Develop secure applications using Java, JavaScript, and mobile technologies.
- Engage in security risk management and continuous process improvement.
- Work with IAM controls (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT) and cryptography best practices.
- Contribute to DevSecOps practices and CI/CD security integration.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in information security roles.
- Hands-on experience with threat modeling (STRIDE, CAPEC, ATT&CK) and vulnerability analysis.
- Proficient in Web API, Mobile security, and full-stack development.
- Strong knowledge of AI/ML Security, Cloud Security, JS Security.
- Familiarity with database architectures: Oracle, SQL, DB2, NoSQL.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience as an AI/ML engineer or in security architecture.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, OSCP, CSSLP, CISA, CRISC.
- Knowledge of cloud security design and implementation.
