Job Description:

Note: This position requires on-site presence and is not subject to hybrid work.

Note: This is a casual, part-time temporary Support position starting September 2nd and ending on December 20th, 2025 (15 weeks) for up to 24 hours per week. Please note, hours may vary per week and are determined based on the program’s needs and the employee’s availability.

Duties: Reporting to the Associate Dean, School of Public Safety, Law & Administration, the Casual-Part-time Paramedic Program Technician will assist with skill station set-up and tear down during testing scenarios ensuring all health and safety control standards are met. They may also act as standardized paramedic partners and/or bystanders as needed during testing scenarios.  

Qualifications:

  • Advanced Emergency Medical Care Assistant (AEMCA) Certification required 

  • Minimum 1-year relevant experience  

  • Currently in good standing with an Ontario base hospital 

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task 

  • A strong commitment to student engagement and success 

  • Excellent communication and effective interpersonal skills 

  • Ability to work effectively to a wide variety of people from different backgrounds 

  • Proven ability to work in a team environment
