Are you a strategic health leader with experience in public health, a degree in Nursing and passionate about protecting public health and driving complex health initiatives? The Ministry of Primary and Preventative Health Services (PPHS) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager, Immunization Policy to help lead and shape the province’s immunization strategy.
With a high degree of independence and in collaboration with the Director, Immunization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Alberta’s Immunization Program policies to ensure the delivery of a high-quality, accessible, and equitable immunization program across the province.
The Ministry of Primary and Preventative Health Services is seeking an experienced, strategic, and passionate clinical leader to join our team as Manager, Immunization Policy. This is a pivotal role supporting public health initiatives that align with compliance to the Immunization Regulation which includes immunization policy development, program implementation, adverse events following immunization surveillance, and stakeholder engagement. Working within the Communicable Disease Control Branch you will lead Alberta’s immunization policy framework, support the Alberta Advisory Committee on Immunization (AACI), and provide expert oversight in areas of vaccine safety, program strategy, and intergovernmental collaboration.

Minimum Recruitment Standards
University graduation in a field related to nursing/ medicine, supplemented by four years related experience.
Equivalency: Directly related education or experience considered based on:
1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
1 year of experience for 1 year of education.

This is a full-time position working 36.25 hours per week.
