Agilus is recruiting for a Project Engineer in the Oil and Gas Sector in calgary, Alberta. The Conventional Operations Team is seeking a Calgary-based Project Engineer to support our growing conventional business. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Process & Facilities, this dynamic and technically focused role is responsible for the engineering and execution of new well equip and tie-ins, gathering infrastructure, and full field development planning. The successful candidate will deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective project solutions while working closely with engineering, construction, and operations teams. A typical day: Lead the engineering and execution of new well equip and tie-in projects, ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery. Manage engineering consultants and EPC firms to deliver high-quality designs and execution plans Support full field development planning, including gathering system design and infrastructure optimization. Collaborate with Operations, Drilling, Completions, and Construction teams to align on project scope and execution. Develop and refine cost estimates, and benchmark project performance to ensure peer competitiveness. Successful candidates will have: Must be a Professional Engineer sanctioned by APEGA with ability to authenticate mechanical engineering deliverables Eight or more years of relevant operations & facility and engineering experience. Knowledge and application of frequently used codes (ASME B31.3, CSA Z662 etc.) Working knowledge of upstream oil and gas industry and facility design Strong troubleshooting skills with an ability to make timely and consistent decisions on a broad variety of topics Legally authorized to work in Canada Total rewards: Competitive Compensation Mon – Fri, 40hrs/week, Completely onsite role Contract until Aug 10, 2026 Calgary downtown office Expenses: eligible for reimbursement of expenses incurred during field travel
