Job Details:

We’re looking for an experienced Scrum Master to lead and support Agile development teams by championing Agile values, principles, and practices. In this role, you’ll act as a coach, facilitator, and servant leader—helping teams stay focused, remove roadblocks, and continuously improve their workflow. You’ll work closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet business needs. Success in this position requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a solid grasp of Agile methodologies and software development practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Agile Practices: Guide the team in Agile adoption and ensure ceremonies like stand-ups, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives are run effectively.
  • Empower the Team: Encourage self-organization and accountability, while creating a culture of transparency, collaboration, and continuous feedback.
  • Clear Roadblocks: Proactively identify issues that may slow down progress and work with internal and external stakeholders to remove them.
  • Coach and Support: Mentor team members on Agile values and best practices, and help them understand their roles and responsibilities in the process.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Partner with Product Owners to maintain a healthy and prioritized backlog, and ensure strong alignment between development and business goals.
  • Track Progress: Use metrics like velocity and burndown charts to monitor performance and provide regular updates to stakeholders, offering insights for improvement.
  • Handle Conflict: Address team conflicts constructively and promote healthy dialogue to maintain a positive and productive team dynamic.
  • Drive Improvement: Foster a mindset of continuous improvement by encouraging experimentation, reflection, and adoption of better practices over time.
  • Project Coordination: Assist program and project managers in planning and tracking progress using Agile and collaboration tools.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • Certification in Agile practices (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP)).
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach, with deep knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.).
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with leadership.
  • Familiarity with software development life cycles and tools like JIRA and Confluence.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment and manage changing priorities with ease.
  • Demonstrated political awareness and professionalism in handling complex team dynamics.
  • A strong track record of leading successful, high-impact projects.
  • A servant leadership approach—prioritizing the growth and performance of the team.

Please note:

  • A clear criminal background check will be required before starting and must be maintained throughout the contract. An enhanced background check may be necessary for certain projects; any issues must be resolved independently.
  • A skills matrix is required for submission
  • Education/certificates are required for submission
  • 2 references must be provided as part of submission
