Our federal government client is looking for a certified and experienced Professional Engineer to assist with the management of the disposal of sensitive equipment and materials. Tasks
- Developing Technical Documentation and Project Requirements Craft comprehensive project documents such as statements of work, operational requirements, technical specifications, and budget estimates to support procurement and execution of engineering projects.
- Evaluating Technologies and Engineering Options Conduct in-depth research and feasibility studies on systems, equipment, and demilitarization methods. Analyze technology choices, estimate associated costs and risks, and deliver informed technical recommendations.
- Overseeing Project Planning and Operational Support Design and assess logistics, maintenance strategies, and support plans. Maintain project schedules, coordinate activities, and manage documentation to ensure efficient project execution.
- Reviewing and Reporting on Technical Work Perform technical reviews, validate proposals and test plans, and compile analytical reports and presentations based on collected data to guide decision-making and improve project outcomes.
- Stakeholder Communication and On-Site Coordination Deliver presentations to stakeholders, facilitate meetings, document key discussions, and conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure alignment with project objectives.
Experience & Qualifications - A post-secondary Mechanical/Material, Industrial, Electrical, or Civil/Structural Engineering degree
- A Professional engineer (P.eng) license
- At least 12 months of experience in the last 5 years assessing technical systems, reporting technical findings, OR evaluating research studies.
- At least 12 months of experience in the last 5 years gathering and entering data, data analysis, AND building data-driven reports.
- Experience with the safe and environmentally compliant disposal of sensitive materials.
- Bilingualism (English CCC, French BBB) is preferred.
