Accounts Payable Clerk – 1-Month Contract
Our client in the education sector is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk for a short-term, 1-month contract in Langley, BC. In this role, you'll support the Finance department by reviewing and processing financial documentation to ensure full compliance with accounting standards and university policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Review, verify, and process payment documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Apply appropriate coding for funds, accounts, and taxes; make corrections as needed.
Communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding discrepancies or missing information.
Provide guidance to staff on policy adherence, expense claims, and system usage.
Process payments, initiate and print cheques, and coordinate timely distribution.
Reconcile accounts monthly and assist with year-end reporting and audit preparation.
Review audit reports, investigate variances, and ensure compliance across AP operations.
Support process improvements and contribute to training of new or existing team members.
