This exciting opportunity to join Equinix’s Finance Transformation and Center of Excellence (CoE) team will be fundamental in supporting the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) transformation efforts. This role will drive FP&A process innovation and enhance data-driven forecasting and decision-making through automation, predictive analytics, and digital tools. The successful candidate will perform detailed analysis of the FP&A forecasting methodologies and processes to provide data-driven recommendations that optimize the overall forecasting process and/or forecast accuracy. This individual will help identify and drive improvements to data sources/data models used in FP&A forecasting processes for an optimized data flow enabling advanced financial reporting and analysis aligned to the vision of FP&A transformation.
Responsibilities
Deep understanding of FP&A forecasting and reporting processes
Partner with cross-functional FP&A teams and various IT teams to understand existing processes, challenges and assessment for improvement
Analyze large datasets, trends & anomalies enabling financial insights
Build proof of concepts to provide a recommendation for improvement in forecast accuracy and/or process optimization
Drive optimization of data sources and data cleanliness for use in FP&A forecasting and reporting tools
Build a strong relationship with and provide support to the FP&A community
Qualifications
Proven years of experience in finance, business, data and analytics or a related field
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field is preferred
Advanced user of financial applications, data modeling and reporting tools including but not limited to, Oracle EPM, Anaplan, Microsoft 365 suite including Power BI & Power Automate & Copilot, Python, Tableau
Passion & technical acumen for data and analytics with the ability to analyze data, trends, and data sources to recommend improvements/ changes to the existing forecasting processes
Ability to design and create data visualization for financial reporting
Prioritize workloads, meet deadlines and escalate concerns when needed
Organized, strategically focused, detail oriented, self-starter with the communication skills to convey messages clearly and concisely
A team player who can work with stakeholders in other functions to achieve objectives
Enthusiastic with a passion to learn
