Agilus is recruiting for a Sr, Data Engineer in the Financial Services in a hybrid work environment in Toronto, Ontario. We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with proven expertise in enterprise-scale data migration to support a high-profile cloud modernization project with a leading investment management firm in Toronto. A typical day: Build, manage, and optimize scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Snowflake Support and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to ensure ongoing data visualization and reporting needs are met Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define best practices for migration, reporting, and validation Conduct rigorous unit, system, and performance testing to ensure data accuracy and completeness Document data flows, technical specifications, and processes to support knowledge transfer and future enhancements Requirements: 7+ years of experience in data engineering and data warehousing, with a strong focus on data migration projects Proven, hands-on expertise with Databricks, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Snowflake and Power BI – these are critical to the role Experience supporting and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports in a production environment Advanced SQL skills, including complex query writing, stored procedures, and performance tuning Strong understanding of ETL/ELT patterns, data validation, and transformation best practices Soft skills: .
