Our client working in the Non-Profit space is hiring for a Strategic Communications Advisor to join their team on a 1 year contract. This is an exciting opportunity working in a flexible hybrid model, working 1-2 days onsite per week in Ottawa.
The Strategic Communications Advisor is responsible for providing proactive, strategic marketing and communications support to promote learning programs and resources, ensures consistent messaging across channels, and supports broader organizational goals.
The Strategic Communications Advisor works closely with internal teams and external partners to plan and deliver high-impact communications across digital, print, and social platforms.
The successful candidate will have experience developing strategic communication plans in the healthcare or non profit sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute marketing and communication plans to promote learning programs.
- Create engaging content for social media, newsletters, websites, email campaigns, and more.
- Advise on promotional strategies to improve reach and engagement.
- Collaborate with internal teams (communications, web, design, translation) to ensure alignment and consistency.
- Monitor trends in healthcare and identify new opportunities for outreach.
- Measure and report on the success of communication initiatives.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in communications or marketing roles.
- Proven experience with multi-channel marketing campaigns.
- Strong writing, editing, and project management skills.
- Experience working in associations or member-based organizations is an asset.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles is an asset.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
