Data/Quality Analyst – 1-Year Contract
Location: Markham, ON (Hybrid – On-site Wednesdays)
Duration: 1 year (with possible extension)
Pay Rate: $30–$45/hr
Role Overview:
We’re hiring a Data/Quality Analyst for a 1-year contract (with potential extension) for our not-for-profit client in the education sector. Reporting to the Manager, IT Applications, you will plan, execute, and report on testing for software applications and reports. You will work closely with developers, analysts, and project managers to ensure product quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain test cases, scripts, and plans based on requirements
- Perform functional, integration, and user acceptance testing
- Document and track defects; collaborate with development to resolve issues
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups)
- Provide feedback on usability and performance
- Support automation and test data strategies
- Monitor and troubleshoot test environments
- Assist with annual report data cleansing
- Follow established QA and project management processes
Requirements:
- 5–7 years of experience in data quality, software QA, databases, cleaning/screening, software
quality assurance, automation testing - Strong experience with Azure DevOps
- Experience with Power BI is an asset, as the project is data-focused
- Knowledge of all phases of SDLC and STLC
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
