Our Federal Government client is seeking a
Project Manager to join them on a multi year contract and support their team working in a defence environment.
Scope of Work:
- Contribute to the drafting of strategic documents, reports, and briefings;
- Give briefings on progress and concerns of project;
- Prepare draft evaluation plans, criteria and evaluation schedules;
- Develop, plan, analyze, evaluate and prioritize deliverables and requirements;
- Define and document development team objectives;
- Formulate and manage project plans by defining deliverables, identifying key milestones, reviewing project progress, and engaging in ongoing risk management;
- Ensure management staff is provided with timely and accurate project information and status updates;
- Work with a variety of project management tools such as MS Project and Visio;
- Conduct post project reviews/lessons learned;
- Contribute to the organization's strategic and business planning initiatives;
- Contribute to development of organizational vision and mission;
- Coordinate, drafts and prepare for signature formal project documents and reports; and
- Oversee projects through all stages of project acquisition process including Identification, Options Analysis, Definition, Implementation, and Close Out.
- Coordinate and prepare documentation in response to scheduled and unscheduled reports, returns and observations to update management on project progress;
- Determine and obtain budgetary requirements, composition, roles, responsibilities and terms of reference for the team
Experience and Qualifications:
- Must have a valid Secret security clearance.
- Must have completed post secondary education at a recognized Canadian university or college.
- Must have experience working in a project environment related to concept development, equipment requirements, organizational structure and design
- Must have experience authoring Strategic Context Documents, Business Case Analysis, Project Charter, RFI, RFP, Responses to RFI/RFP
