Position Overview

We are looking for an Intermediate Data Modeler to support the Data Architect in developing and deploying logical and physical data models. The successful candidate will work directly with various data services on AWS and Oracle, and will collaborate closely with the ETL team to ensure accurate and efficient deployment of models.

This is not an architect role—the ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on data modeling skills and practical experience in model implementation and DDL generation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the creation of logical and physical data models using Erwin Data Modeler
  • Develop and deploy relational data models into AWS accounts
  • Generate Data Definition Language (DDL) scripts and work closely with the ETL team for implementation
  • Handle large-scale data assets transitioning from Oracle into AWS data services
  • Ensure data models align with platform architecture and reporting requirements
  • Contribute to building a new data warehouse and reporting infrastructure

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in data modeling roles, preferably in a data warehouse environment
  • Experience using Erwin or similar modeling tools
  • Solid understanding of relational data modeling concepts
  • Proficiency in DDL scripting and deploying models
  • Experience working with AWS data services, including:
    • Redshift
    • Athena
    • S3
    • Glue
  • Familiarity with Oracle databases
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience writing Python scripts for DDL deployment automation
  • Previous exposure to public sector or health data projects
  • Background working on multi-year enterprise data platform initiatives
