We are partnering with a prominent organization in the transportation sector to find a skilled individual to enhance their Safety, Health & Environment (SH&E) Management System documentation processes.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for reviewing and assessing existing document control processes for the client's SH&E Management System. This includes evaluating document review and approval workflows, document tracking and storage within their SharePoint Document Management System, and version control procedures. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices.
You will report directly to a key internal stakeholder and collaborate with various departmental administrators, a Policy & Strategy Manager, Safety Technicians, and Department Directors.
This is a 2-3-Month contract and working hours are: 8 am to 4 pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and assess current document control processes for the Safety, Health & Environment Management System documentation.
- Prepare a comprehensive report detailing findings from your assessment and providing recommendations for improvements to the SH&E Management System document control processes.
- Develop and implement agreed-upon recommendations, which may include:
- Writing or updating document control procedures for managing SH&E documentation.
- Developing training and/or guidance materials for new document control processes.
Skills and Certifications:
- Proven experience and understanding of document control principles, document management systems, and industry best practices.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with SharePoint.
- Excellent attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using document control software and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Well-developed research, investigative, and analytical skills, with the ability to problem-solve using critical thinking.
- Sound judgment and the ability to recommend process improvements and solutions for complex issues.
Deliverables:
- Final Assessment Report with recommendations.
- Developed/updated document control procedures.
- Created training and/or guidance material.
