Payroll Coordinator - Hybrid, Permanent
Our legal client is seeking a Payroll Coordinator for a permanent hybrid role, 2-3 days on-site in downtown Toronto.
This position supports payroll operations across multiple Canadian and U.S. offices and is ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive professional looking to grow within a collaborative and fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage full-cycle biweekly, monthly, and quarterly payroll across multiple jurisdictions.
Handle employee changes such as hires, terminations, promotions, and leaves.
Prepare payroll journal entries and reconcile related general ledger accounts.
Remit statutory withholdings, benefit contributions, and garnishments.
Issue ROEs and prepare year-end tax slips (T4s, W2s).
Generate reports using UKG Pro and BI tools.
Monitor legislative changes and ensure payroll compliance.
Participate in audits and continuous improvement projects.
Support the team during peak periods and absences.
What You Bring:
PCP designation or currently working toward it.
2+ years of payroll experience, ideally in a multi-jurisdictional setting.
Experience with UKG Pro is an asset.
Strong attention to detail, communication, and time management skills.
High level of discretion and professionalism.
Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
