Agilus is recruiting for a Jnr Electrical Engineer in the Oil&Gas Industry in Calgary, Alberta.
Will assist in the engineering design, execution, and PM of a new compressor station installation. involved in Front-End Engineering Design, Detailed Engineering, Construction, and Commissioning phases of the project.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the coordination of project activities to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Participate in technical reviews of design drawings, engineering specifications, and equipment procurement documents.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineering consultants, operations personnel and other project team members.
Review electrical power system designs up to 25 kV, and emergency power systems.
Review of electrical analyses for power systems, VFDs, medium voltage motors, and low voltage systems.
Review instrumentation and process control devices for electrical systems and natural gas processes within the scope of a compressor station.
Review electrical and instrumentation specifications, data sheets, control narratives, shutdown keys, and P&IDs.
Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field.
Registration with APEGA as an EIT or P.Eng.
Previous experience in oil and gas facilities design/construction, specifically with gas compression equipment would be an asset.
Understanding of Alberta OH&S code, ASME, CSA (including but not limited to C22.1, Z662, Z462, and Z767), IEEE, and ISA would be an asset.
Knowledge of electrical studies, including Short Circuit Analysis, Protection & Coordination Studies, Arc-Flash Hazard, Harmonic Study, Low-flow Analysis, Grounding Study.
Knowledge of Instrumentation engineering concepts, Safety Instrumented Systems and Safety Instrumented Functions.
