One of our clients is seeking an experienced SAP Project Manager to support our transition into a Center of Excellence (COE) and lead the implementation and continuous improvement of SAP across multiple business units. This individual will work closely with the ERP Program Manager to oversee SAP project execution, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure successful delivery of both project initiatives and ongoing business support.

This role offers a unique opportunity to manage the final implementation of a smaller division while also contributing to broader SAP governance, support operations, and the long-term roadmap—including potential migration from on-premise to cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage SAP projects across various modules (MM, PM, ETM, FICO, SD, PS), ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including schedules, milestones, resource needs, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Oversee project execution to ensure delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints.
• Conduct SAP landscape reviews and contribute to architectural planning and optimization efforts.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, manage expectations, and provide regular status updates.
• Guide cross-functional project teams, fostering collaboration between IT, business users, and external partners.
• Identify and resolve project risks and issues proactively; escalate as needed.
• Support change management processes and promote effective adoption of SAP solutions across business units.
• Coordinate and lead system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and training activities.
• Drive proper documentation and governance practices, including reports, dashboards, meeting minutes, and change logs.
• Contribute to the establishment of best practices as we evolve into a COE.
• Provide both project-based and ongoing post-go-live support to ensure operational continuity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
• PMP or other relevant project management certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of SAP project management experience with a proven track record in full lifecycle implementations and support.
• Experience managing multiple SAP modules (e.g., MM, PM, ETM, FICO, SD, PS) is essential.
• Strong understanding of SAP architecture and integration points, including third-party interfaces.
• Experience with or knowledge of SAP cloud migration projects is a strong asset.
• Demonstrated ability to balance project delivery with operational support responsibilities.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, or similar).
• Ability to work in a hybrid delivery model, blending agile and waterfall approaches as needed.
