Agilus is recruiting for a Structural Engineering Design Manager in the Engineering Sector in Windsor, Ontario. The Structural Engineering Design Manager responsible for leading a team in the design and analysis of structural systems, primarily within the automotive industry. The role involves overseeing project execution, mentoring engineers, and ensuring compliance with Canadian and American engineering standards. A typical day: Lead and manage a team of 5–10 engineers in structural design and analysis. Design and analyze steel, concrete, masonry, and timber structures. Prepare, review, and approve structural reports, drawings, and calculations. Conduct site visits to ensure project progress and compliance with specifications. Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams for successful project delivery. Utilize structural design software to develop and optimize engineering solutions. Mentor team members and promote a collaborative, growth-focused environment. Ensure adherence to Canadian and American structural codes and organizational standards. Successful candidates will have: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural focus. Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Michigan or Ontario/Canada, or eligible within one year. 5–10 years of structural engineering experience, including team leadership. Background in the automotive industry and industrial structural applications. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (including Project) and AutoCAD. Skilled in at least one structural software: Autodesk Robot, Advance Steel, or SAP2000. Strong leadership, communication, and project management abilities Valid driver’s license, ability to travel cross-border, and eligible to work in Canada.
