Credit Risk Associate (Contract)
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)
Job Type: 12-month contract, with a possibility for extension/conversion

We are partnering with a Schedule III Bank to hire a Credit Risk Associate to support their Risk Management team. This is a great opportunity for someone with 2–3 years of experience in credit risk who is looking to grow their expertise in portfolio oversight, risk reporting, and policy enhancement within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze credit risk data and assess portfolio quality, trends, and concentration risk.
Support stress testing and scenario analysis to evaluate how the credit portfolio would perform under different economic conditions.
Assist with regular credit risk reports, track key metrics and indicators, and contribute to annual risk appetite reviews.
Help improve risk policies and procedures to align with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
Prepare reports and presentations for internal teams and regulatory bodies as needed.
Stay current with market trends and evolving risks in the financial services sector.
What You Bring:
A degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field (a master’s or certification like FRM/CFA is an asset).
2–3 years of experience in credit risk or a related field in financial services.
Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Strong skills in Excel and hands-on experience with tools such as SQL, Python, Power BI, or Bloomberg.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Familiarity with Canadian financial regulations is a plus.
