Ensuring effective program delivery, the Procurement, Facilities and Fleet Services branch oversees a diverse portfolio of foundational services, integrated with internal and external service partners. Providing visionary direction to address complex business support issues, the branch leverages knowledge of leading practices to provide creative options and advice playing a critical role in the achievement of ministry, cross-ministry, and corporate goals.

Role

As the Executive Director, Business Services, you will be accountable for providing strategic leadership, direction, and coordination for the delivery of a complete range of business services including but not limited to procurement, and fleet and facilities management, in order to meet the short and long-term business goals of the ministry. You will support and mentor multiple directors who oversee professionals and administrative staff in the successful achievement of the Division’s mandate and goals. You will also deliver key contributions as a member of the Division’s senior management team by providing strategic advice, innovative options, and recommendations to the Assistant Deputy Minister, Deputy Minister, and Minister. Establishing, balancing, and maintaining effective relationships across government with a diverse range of stakeholders will be critical to this role.

 

 

Qualifications

As an influential and highly credible leader, your career has included extensive related executive management, with a proven track record leading diverse teams within a service orientated organization. Additionally, you have demonstrated expertise working with central agencies and have knowledge of related public administration processes including human resources, financial management, business planning, and policy decision-making. Your advanced communication skills enable you to lead projects and provide timely and effective support to stakeholders, ensuring outcomes are achieved. A proven leader, you have demonstrated experience creating, supporting, and sustaining an environment which enables staff to achieve results and develop enhanced organizational capacity. A university degree in business, public administration or a related subject area is preferred. A post-graduate degree or designation (e.g. MBA, MPA, CPA or equivalent) is desirable.

 

 

Salary

$5,234.94- $6,879.68 bi-weekly ($136,631 - $179,559 yearly)
