The role we are offering you:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Generalist to join our team for a one-year term.  The successful candidate will support the HR Team with recruitment, labour relations, and supporting change management initiatives.  This role requires a proactive individual with strong interpersonal skill and a deep understanding of HR practices.

***This is a 12 months contract position***

Key responsiblities include:
 

Recruitment

  • Collaborate with trade schools that offer aircraft technician program to create a pipeline of qualified candidates. 

  • Participate in career fairs and other recruitment events at these institutions.

  • Assist in planning and organization recruitment events targeting Indigenous youth.

  • Collaborate with the Indigenous Relations Lead to ensure effective outreach and engagement with Indigenous communities and educational institutions. 

  • Global Mobility Coordination and onboarding of international candidates.

Labour Relations

  • Assist is addressing employee grievances and disputes.

  • Provide guidance to leaders and employees on company policies and procedures.

  • Coordinate activities related to the strategic Labour Relations plan.

  • Provide administrative and logistical support to ensure effective implementation of the plan.

  • Collaborate with the Human Resource team to achieve strategic goals.
     

Change Management

  • Assist in coordinating change management activities.

  • Provide administrative support for change management plans.

  • Help communicate changes effectively to all employees and provide support during transitions. 
     

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Education:  Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field.

  • Experience:  3 - 5 years of progressive experience in HR roles, with experience in recruitment, labour relations, and change management.

  • Skills: 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving HR environment and flexibility to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities. 

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organization skills. 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) combined with strong organizational and presentation skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and HRIS systems with capability to analyze HR metrics and develop strategies based on data.
