Position Summary
A Relief/Casual Security Mobile Driver will be responsible
for providing security driving services on an as-needed basis. They may be called
in to fill shifts or provide additional security coverage when required. The
role includes ensuring safety and security of designated locations, conducting
mobile patrols, responding to incidents, and maintaining accurate logs. The
ideal candidate must hold a valid driver’s license, possess security training/certification,
and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and security protocols.
Flexibility to work varied shifts and locations is essential.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducting mobile patrols of assigned areas to deter and detect security threats.
- Responding promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents to ensure a quick and appropriate security response.
- Safely operating and maintaining security vehicles while adhering to traffic law and company policies
- Monitoring and controlling access to designated areas and checking the well-being of other security personnel at different sites
- Documenting all security related incidents, activities, and observations in detailed logs or reports
- Assisting with the investigation of security breaches or incidents and providing information to support incident resolution.
- Collaborating with the security team to implement security procedures and protocols effectively.
- Providing excellent customer service by addressing queries, assisting with directions, and offering support to visitors or employees
- Following all security regulations and protocols to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Supporting other security-related duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
Skills, Abilities & Educational Requirements:
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Must possess a valid AB Security License
- Must be fluent in the English language – written, verbal and reading skills.
- Must possess valid first aid or be willing to obtain it.
- Must have a Class 5 (Non-GDL) License and a clean driver’s abstract.
- Computer skills ability to learn technology devices (phones, equipment)
- Have a positive attitude with a professional demeanor, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Have excellent problem-solving skills with an ability to handle emergency situations in a calm manner.
- Must be physically fit and able to stand, walk, sit for long periods at a time.
- Have exceptional attention to detail to fulfill duties and responsibilities and incident report writing.
- Willing to work a variety of shifts including over-nights and weekends.
- Former RCMP/Military experience and Military family member (Strong Asset)
- Education and/or background in Law Enforcement (Strong Asset)
Shift Schedule:
- 8/10/12 – hour shifts
- Flexibility to work day, night, and weekend shifts as required
Working Conditions:
- Work 8/10/12 hour shifts, starting any time of the day/week/year.
- May be exposed to prolonged periods of walking, sitting or standing.
- May be employed indoors or outdoors in periods of inclement weather.
- Climbing or descending stairs
