The custodian maintains a clean, sanitary and attractive appearance of the building. This is accomplished by performing cleaning and maintenance duties in a professional, efficient, proactive and safe manner within the policies and procedures of the Department and Centre. Responsibilities: Work and communicate effectively within a team environment Perform a broad range of cleaning and minor maintenance services for the Operations Services department Clean, dust, vacuum, and wash ceilings, floors, walls, furniture, bathrooms, rooms, corridors, windows, doors, stairways, and any other associated equipment and fixtures Use equipment and supplies properly in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures. Clean, maintain, and store equipment after use Report problems to supervisor if required, Report to immediate supervisor when available for other duties during shift Perform snow and ice control duties as appropriate Perform any other operational duties as required Successful candidates will have: High School Diploma, General Educational Development (GED) or equivalent training and experience 3+ Years experience as a professional cleaner Physical and mental ability to perform a full range of cleaning and janitorial duties Good communication and interpersonal skills with students, staff, and visitors Able to work all shifts; Day & Night shift Looking for long term work What's in it for you: Full time - long term job weekly Pay + 4% vacation pay Flexible shift options positive work environment Let's connect!
