Overview:
Our client in Vancouver, BC is seeking a detail-oriented Jira Administrator with strong experience in Jira Cloud, Atlassian suite tools, and system administration. This role will support the configuration, integration, and administration of Jira, Mural, and related tools within a portfolio management environment. Ideal candidates will bring experience in scripting, reporting, and CI/CD tool integration.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer, configure, and maintain Jira Software (Cloud) and associated Atlassian products.
Create and manage Jira projects, workflows, permission schemes, notifications, and custom fields.
Install, configure, and manage third-party plugins and integrations for Jira and Mural.
Monitor the health and performance of Jira and Atlassian applications; perform upgrades and patches as needed.
Manage user access, groups, permissions, and licensing for Jira and Mural.
Handle and resolve tickets related to Atlassian tools via ServiceNow.
Integrate Jira with CI/CD pipelines and other DevOps tools.
Perform error troubleshooting and collaborate with vendors/Atlassian support as required.
Provide usage and performance reporting, identifying non-utilized resources and suggesting improvements.
Support reporting and analytics initiatives leveraging Jira data.
Collaborate with portfolio management teams to maintain data integrity and generate required reports.
Recommend new plugins and tools based on customer needs and functional requirements.
Maintain process documentation and provide training as needed for Jira and Mural users.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong hands-on experience in Jira Software (Cloud) administration and configuration.
Proven experience with the Atlassian suite of tools in an enterprise environment.
Solid knowledge of system administration, user management, and customization of Jira.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and their integration with Jira.
Strong understanding of reporting and analytics using Jira data.
Experience working in or supporting portfolio management teams.
Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Groovy, Shell, or JavaScript) preferred.
Experience with Mural and ServiceNow is highly preferred.
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple toolsets and integrations.
