Our client, in Information Technology, is seeking a Tester to join their team on a 6 month contract with potential for extension. 

Location: Fully remote in Canada. 
Employment Type: 6 month contract to start with full-time hours in EST
Experience Level: 5+ Years

This individual will have extensive experience in manual testing of eCommerce/Retail Supply Chain Management applications, specifically using IBM Sterling Order Management System (OMS/DOM). The ideal candidate will possess in-depth domain knowledge of Sterling modules and hands-on testing expertise in functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Conduct manual testing for business applications in IBM Sterling DOM/OMS, including functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Execute test cases and identify software defects to ensure alignment with functional requirements.
• Analyze and test Sterling OMS modules such as:
  • Order Capture (Sales, Purchase, Transfer Orders)
  • Delivery Methods (BOSS/BOPIS)
  • Sourcing & Scheduling
  • Catalog Management (Item Creation and Load)
  • Inventory Management
  • Organization Hierarchy
  • Agent & Integration Servers
  • API Tester Framework
  • Store Console & Fulfillment Process (Pick, Pack, Ship, Manifest)
  • Order Console
  • DOM Database Tables
• Collaborate with developers, project managers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and test objectives.
• Document and report bugs and inconsistencies with clarity and detail.
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Validate user interfaces, workflows, and user experiences.
• Conduct regression testing to confirm resolved issues do not reoccur.
• Lead and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business users.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman and SoapUI.
• Validate RESTful and SOAP web services for performance and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices.
• Utilize test management tools like qTest and defect tracking tools like JIRA.
• Apply basic knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies in testing cycles.
• Use SQL for validating backend data and performing database testing.

Qualifications and Skills

• 5+ years of manual QA testing experience specifically on IBM Sterling DOM/OMS.
• Expertise in functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Hands-on testing of core modules: Order Capture (Sales, PO, Transfer Orders), Sourcing/Scheduling, Inventory, Store Console, DOM DB Tables, Delivery (BOPIS/BOSS), etc.
• Knowledge of API testing (Postman, SoapUI), understanding of REST/SOAP.
• Familiarity with test management tools (qTest) and defect tracking tools (JIRA).
• Experience with UAT, and strong documentation/reporting skills.
• Basic SQL/database testing and understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
