Agilus is recruiting for a Chief Estimator / Lead Estimator - Waterproofing in the Construction industry in Vaughan, Ontario. Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Waterproofing Estimator to join their construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for waterproofing projects, including new construction, renovations, and repairs. This role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of waterproofing systems, and the ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings. A typical day: Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates Conduct site visits to assess project scope and conditions Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify project requirements Source and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors Prepare and submit detailed bid proposals and cost breakdowns Track and manage changes in project scope and update estimates accordingly Maintain a database of historical cost data and pricing trends Assist in value engineering and cost-saving initiatives Successful candidates will have: 10-15 years of experience as an estimator in the waterproofing or construction industry Strong knowledge of waterproofing materials, systems, and installation methods Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents Strong communication and negotiation abilities High attention to detail and organizational skills What's in it for you: Attractive compensation Vision and Dental care, extended health care Opportunity for professional development Group insurance and competitive pension plan Office based role
