Agilus is recruiting for a Lead Civil Estimator in the Construction industry in Vaughan, Ontario. Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Estimator with proven experience in wet utilities (storm, sanitary, watermain) and landscaping to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for civil sitework projects, ensuring alignment with project specifications, timelines, and budgets. A typical day: Analyze project drawings, specifications, and related documents to determine scope and requirements Prepare detailed cost estimates for wet utility installations (stormwater, sanitary sewer, watermain) and landscaping elements (grading, planting, hardscaping, irrigation) Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather data for accurate estimating Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify project goals and constraints Solicit and evaluate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers. Prepare bid proposals, cost breakdowns, and tender submissions Track and manage changes in project scope and update estimates accordingly Maintain a database of historical cost data and unit pricing Successful candidates will have: 10-15 years of experience in civil estimating with a focus on wet utilities and landscaping Strong knowledge of municipal standards, utility installation methods, and landscaping practices Proficiency in estimating software Ability to read and interpret civil, landscape, and utility drawings Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
