Our client, a leading manufacturer of sports equipment, is seeking an experienced and driven
Distribution Centre Manager to lead and optimize operations across multiple functional areas within their distribution network. This role is responsible for overseeing warehouse management, continuous improvement initiatives, and team development.

Responsibilities:
Lead and coach supervisors, team leads, and associates across key distribution functions, ensuring performance aligns with operational goals.
Monitor and drive performance using key metrics such as on-time shipping, order accuracy, inventory accuracy, and cost per unit shipped.
Oversee daily operations across multiple facilities, coordinating with departments and vendors to resolve issues and meet shipping targets.
Manage workforce planning, including staffing strategies and onboarding for full-time and seasonal associates.
Lead facility safety programs, ensuring compliance through training, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Control departmental expenses by reviewing vendor invoices and maintaining alignment with budget targets.
Ensure inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and coordinate inter-warehouse transfers as needed.
Partner with customer service to resolve shipment discrepancies and ensure compliance with routing guidelines.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education is required; a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a distribution center environment.
Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams to achieve operational goals.
Demonstrated success implementing process improvements and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency in WMS, ERP, third-party shipping systems, and Microsoft Office (including Excel) is required.
Must be able to occasionally lift cartons up to 40 lbs if needed.
Comfortable working at heights and on ladders as needed.
