Our client, a growing financial services firm, is seeking a Financial Services Representative to join their team in a full-time, permanent capacity. This role is ideal for someone passionate about customer service and investments, with a strong aptitude for managing day-to-day banking transactions and account administration. You will be the primary point of contact for clients regarding their savings and investment accounts, including GICs, RRSPs, and RRIFs, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a seamless client experience.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities with professionalism and care.
Roles and Responsibilities
Process and administer a range of client transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, wires, certified cheques, and estate settlements, across retail and investment accounts.
Manage and reconcile a cash drawer daily, ensuring all cash-related activities are accurate and balanced.
Oversee investment products such as GICs, RRSPs, RRIFs, savings, chequing, and business accounts, including renewals, interest and principal payments, and statement preparation.
Prepare and process Deposit Agent commissions, re-registrations, and other specialized transactions.
Respond to client inquiries promptly, maintaining strong relationships and delivering exceptional service.
Support the investments and lending teams by assisting with administrative tasks such as renewals, insurance follow-up, and collections when needed.
Perform daily account clearing functions and ensure all documentation meets regulatory and internal compliance standards, including AML and ATF requirements.
Collaborate with Deposit Agents and internal colleagues to ensure accuracy and due diligence in all activities.
Contribute to a positive team culture by demonstrating professionalism, flexibility, and a client-first mindset.
Take on other duties as required to support the business.
Qualifications and Skills
At least 2–3 years of experience working in a bank, credit union, trust company, or similar financial services environment.
Knowledge of, or strong interest in learning about, investment and savings products such as GICs, RRSPs, and RRIFs.
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and banking operations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with clients and colleagues.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and complete tasks accurately under pressure.
Proficiency in standard business software and internal banking systems.
Professional, team-oriented attitude with a commitment to providing outstanding service.
