Position Overview

Calian ITCS is currently seeking a Senior Test Engineer for a current opportunity to perform the following duties:

Responsibilities

• Perform reviews of system and subsystem requirements specifications, interface control documents, design documents and use cases related to technical area of responsibility within 6 months in order to contribute to test plan development and facilitate integration activities
• Bring to the team an excitement and maturity to generate and execute formal and informal test procedures that will gather appropriate measures and data while appropriately documenting all of the results.
• Execute formal and informal test procedures while collaborating within a diverse multi-disciplinary team to gather appropriate measures and data.
• Perform investigations upon a complex system to clarify problem components and aid in further analysis.
• Use refined methodologies and own experience to perform exploration and investigations in support of writing problem and test reports demonstrating System knowledge, communicate as required.
• Participate in integrated team activities with system engineering and development engineering teams.
• Conduct themselves professionally at all times, in all meetings and activities, and when included in customer attended events

Qualifications

• Clearance: Secret (mandatory)
• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the specified field
• Positive approach to learning and trying new things.
• Excellent communication abilities (written and verbal).
• Thorough understanding of the product development life cycle and associated processes
• Knowledge and experience with engineering and System Integration Verification &Validation process, including Agile and Engineering Development Framework.
• Experience in defining, developing and executing integration tests for complex functionality, and understanding the interdependencies and interactions between subsystems.
• Experience in the investigation, recommendations, and resolution of complex defects.
