Agilus is recruiting for a Performance Testing Lead in the Financial Services in a hybrid work environment in Toronto, Ontario. We are looking for an experienced Performance Testing Lead to support a high-impact Open Banking initiative. This role involves leading performance testing for a complex, cloud-native platform deployed in Anthos, with future migration to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in running performance tests, building mock environments, and working closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve performance issues. Experience with enterprise-scale integrations and cloud-based architectures is essential. Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end performance testing across the Open Banking platform. Execute and analyze performance tests using enterprise-grade tools such as Akamai CloudTest and JMeter. Work closely with development teams to communicate results and drive remediation of performance issues. Test cloud-native services deployed in Anthos, with a strong focus on scalability, elasticity, and GCP migration readiness. Validate API and service-layer performance in a containerized environment under dynamic load conditions Create and maintain mock environments using tools like WireMock to support testing across evolving services. Serve as the Performance Engineering Lead, partnering with development, architecture, and product teams. Deliver clear and actionable performance test reports, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements. Successful candidates will have: Proven experience leading performance testing as a core function, not just as part of broader QA responsibilities. Proficiency with performance testing tools such as Akamai CloudTest, JMeter, or similar enterprise-grade solutions. Solid experience with APM tools like Dynatrace for monitoring, analysis, and diagnostics. Strong understanding of cloud-native environments and containerized applications (Anthos and GCP preferred). Experience using mocking frameworks (e.g., WireMock, CALisa) to simulate service interactions in test environments. Deep knowledge of API performance testing and service-oriented architectures. Soft skills: Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical findings into business impact. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive and detail-oriented mindset. Comfortable leading initiatives, working independently, and mentoring others on performance best practices. Collaborative team player who thrives in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
