Agilus is recruiting for a Senior Process Engineer in the EPCM sector in Calgary, Alberta.
Our client is a trusted EPC and fabrication partner, having successfully delivered projects in oil and gas for 20 years, and seeks a self-motivated, experienced, high performing Senior Process Engineer with a demonstrated ability to lead and experience across all phases of a full project lifecycle covering the design and construction of oil, gas, and energy projects.
Responsibilities:
Lead process design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion and liaise with management on project activity and status.
Develop project process deliverables including Process Design Criteria, Process simulations, Heat & Material Balance, PFDs, P&IDs, process narrative, control philosophy and process calculations at different engineering stages including conceptual, FEED, detailed and execute.
Perform feasibility studies, conceptual design, unit optimization, troubleshooting, de-bottlenecking studies and other process studies during project lifecycle.
Liaise with other engineering disciplines, fab shop, and construction. Manage collaborative relationships with external stakeholders on a project basis.
Participate in major reviews such as design reviews, 3D-model, HAZOP and LOPA meetings and manage resolution of action items.
Provide technical and on-site support during construction, commissioning, and start-up or for operational improvement.
Assist with proposal development, and man hour estimates.
Requirements:
Professional Engineer with Bachelors or equivalent degree in Chemical Engineering.
A minimum of 10 years of relevant process engineering with strong oil and gas background (such as gas plants, wellsite’s, oil batteries, liquid gathering and handling facilities). EPCM background is an asset.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with cross-functional teams and influence decisions.
Strong hands-on capabilities in supporting field start-up, plant operation and troubleshooting of systems produced.
Competent in Process engineering tools and software such as HYSYS and Flarenet; Competent in process equipment sizing and process calculations.
Proficiency with engineering practices, codes, standards, and regulatory requirements pertaining to oil and gas industry.
Experience in preparing Process manhour estimates and development of proposals.
Ability to support on-site construction, commissioning, start-up and troubleshooting activities
