Accounting Manager – Accounts Payable (Permanent Role)

About the Role:
As the Accounting Manager – Accounts Payable, you will lead and manage the accounts payable function, ensuring accurate processing, regulatory compliance, and ongoing process optimization. You’ll play a key leadership role within the finance team, driving improvements and supporting key financial activities, including audits and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and support the AP team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
Drive continuous improvement and implement best practices in AP processes and systems.
Oversee vendor payments, month-end close, and relevant tax filings.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and external regulations.
Monitor AP performance metrics and provide insights to senior leadership.
Support internal and external audit processes with required documentation and analysis.
Review intercompany transactions and ensure accurate journal entries and reconciliations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA designation (or in progress) preferred.
5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including team leadership.
Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP systems.
Experience in a manufacturing environment is a strong asset.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
