Job Opportunity: KYC Analyst – Hybrid | Toronto, ON

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in-office)
We are currently seeking an experienced KYC Analyst to join the compliance function of a reputable financial institution client in Toronto. This is a critical role within the KYC and AML department, designed for professionals with a solid background in regulatory compliance, customer due diligence, and risk-based KYC processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct end-to-end KYC reviews, including onboarding, periodic reviews, and event-driven updates for commercial and corporate banking clients
Perform risk assessments and due diligence based on customer profiles and product types
Execute sanctions, PEP, and adverse media screening for customers and affiliated parties
Review and maintain customer data in internal systems, ensuring information remains accurate and compliant
Support documentation control, file management, and reporting activities aligned with internal and regulatory standards
Liaise with front office teams and compliance leadership to ensure timely and accurate KYC outcomes
Participate in training, cross-functional initiatives, and compliance projects as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a dedicated KYC or compliance function, ideally within a federally regulated bank
Strong understanding of Canadian AML regulations and FINTRAC guidance
Prior exposure to commercial or corporate banking environments is preferred
High level of attention to detail, with strong organizational and communication skills
Proven ability to manage competing deadlines and high-volume KYC workflows
Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field; professional designations (e.g., CAMS) are considered an asset
