Agilus is recruiting for an Operations Maintenance Supervisor in the Property Management industry in Victoria, British Columbia.
The Supervisor, Operations is accountable to the Manager, Operations for supervision and coordination of all activities related to timely and cost-efficient maintenance of the building equipment and ground keeping of the site. The Operations Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring that high-standard and timely tenant repairs and service requests are carried out to assist in maintaining effective long-term relationships with the tenants.
A typical day:
Coordinate and participate in investigation of environmental and H&S incidents
Coordinate parking access control systems and operations of security contractor
Support property management in all project-related activities including coordination of Tenant Improvement works (in consultation with tenant coordination department)
Supervise, inspect and perform, where required, maintenance programs of all building and site equipment (incl. fire, life, safety and emergency systems, HVAC, electrical, security and video surveillance systems and ground-keeping equipment)
Prepare and supervise Preventive Maintenance schedules to ensure mechanical, electrical, plumbing and auxiliary equipment are in good working condition
Supervise and perform, where required, tenant repairs and service requests to ensure that effective long-term tenant relationships are built and a consistent high-level of service is provided to the tenants at all times
Initiate and support property management in Requests for Proposal for third-party service contracts as well as Process Purchase Orders and payments against third-party invoices pertaining to building maintenance
Participate and provide input into periodic budgeting for recoverable operating expenses as well as forecasting activities, where required
Successful candidates will have:
Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
Trade Certificate or Certification in one or more core building systems
HVAC experience preferred followed by 5th Class Power Engineer
Strong communication, organizational and inter-personal skills
Working knowledge of MS office, Apple and Operations specific software
Must have valid driver's license and own reliable vehicle
Total rewards:
$80000.00 - $85000.00 annually
3 weeks vacation
